We deliver vCIO work through Strategic Business Reviews: working meetings between your leadership and our team. Most run about an hour. Behind each one, we typically spend several hours pulling the security, licensing, and hardware reports and preparing the agenda, so the meeting is spent on decisions, not data.

When a review turns up work, such as a firewall or a license change, we quote it through our hardware and software procurement service. Nothing gets lost between the meeting and the work.

How much do virtual CIO services cost?

Is a CIO higher than a CISO?
Neither outranks the other. They do different jobs. A CIO is responsible for technology strategy: what you buy, how it fits together, and what it costs. A CISO is responsible for security risk: how you protect data and respond when something goes wrong. Who reports to whom depends on the company. How is a vCIO different from managed IT?
Managed IT is the day-to-day work: monitoring, help desk, patching, and security. A vCIO is the planning layer on top. It decides what to replace, renew, or change next, and why. How often will we meet?
We schedule Strategic Business Reviews with you based on your package and what's going on in your business, rather than on a fixed calendar. Your account team will set the schedule with you. Every review ends with action items, each with an owner and a due date.
Who is a virtual CIO a good fit for?
Businesses that need technology leadership but don't have, or can't justify, a full-time CIO. That is typically a company with an owner or operations lead making IT decisions on top of their day job, or a growing company with an internal IT person who needs a strategic partner.
